Tullibardine revamps range in response to ‘rapidly changing consumer and market trends’

Tullibardine has redesigned its core range of single malt whiskies in response to ever-changing market trends, with a commitment to more sustainable packaging.

The Perthshire distillery’s Signature range will come in premium, strong cardboard which weighs 100 grams less than the previous box, reducing the impact on the environment.

Renewable, recyclable and responsibly sourced cardboard from local forests will be used to help improve Tullibardine’s carbon footprint.

The range has also been given a new look, with a practical gift box, with attractive coloured headbands on the finishes, to help draw out the artisanal nature of the brand.

There will be no change to the exceptional flavour profile of the Core Single Malt Range, which features Tullibardine Sovereign, 225, 228 and 500 expressions.

Michael Elliott, Tullibardine General Manager, said: “Markets and consumers are changing rapidly so we are evolving our brand to adapt to these trends.

“We want to emphasise the craft and character associated with the Tullibardine brand which is why we’ve used high-quality materials and eye-catching colours in the redesign.”

The Tullibardine Sovereign is beautifully golden and offers sweet barley notes and subtle hints of vanilla, with fudge, pear drops and soft spice on the finish.

The 225 features hints of citrusy lime on the nose, with tropical pineapple and zingy orange zest on the palate with a creamy finish.

The nose of the 228 features red cherries and vanilla, with hints of chocolate. On the palate, there is a hint of red summer fruit with more chocolate and a spice note on the finish.

The 500 offers intense toffee apple notes on the nose with a hint of oatmeal, which combine to give a spicy feel, before sweet dates on the finish.

Tullibardine is a family-owned, independent distillery and handcrafts its Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky.

The distillery uses the finest first fill casks to impart maximum flavour and colour and with the addition of its bottling plant, it is now one of the few distilleries in Scotland to distil, mature and bottle all on site.
